Cinnamon-Cranberry Winter Lemonade


Author note: This can be made ahead and gently reheated before serving. Also, a splash (or two) of whiskey is a nice addition.

2 cups water

1 tablespoon honey

2 tablespoons sugar

2 cinnamon sticks

1/2 cup cranberries

zest of 1 lemon

juice of 1 lemon

  1. Combine water, honey, sugar, cinnamon sticks, cranberries and lemon zest into a small saucepan. Heat on medium low for 30 minutes. Do not bring to a boil. Stir occasionally.
  2. Remove from the heat and add the lemon juice. Strain into a separate container.
  3. Serve warm.
