Lemon-Ginger Simple Syrup
Ingredients

cup
of sugar
1
cup
of water
zest and juice of 1 lemon
fresh ginger
,
thinly cut into 4 1 ½ x ½ inch slices
Instructions
Place all ingredients into a small sauce pan on the stove and heat on medium-low for 15 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Strain the syrup through a sieve into a glass container. Let cool, cover and store in the fridge.
